Organisation expertise

ENVIX-Lab (Environmental and Territorial Analysis Laboratory) of the Department of Biosciences and Territory, University of Molise (UNIMOL), is an interdisciplinary research group specialized in landscape ecology, biodiversity conservation, ecosystem services assessment, GIS and remote sensing, environmental monitoring, and sustainable territorial development. The laboratory has extensive experience in EU-funded projects, including Interreg Italy-Croatia, Interreg IPA CBC, Interreg ADRION, LIFE and other transnational cooperation programmes focused on coastal and marine ecosystems, blue growth, climate resilience and environmental governance. Particular expertise is available in the assessment and mapping of cultural and recreational ecosystem services, sustainable tourism planning, monitoring of tourism-related pressures on natural areas, stakeholder engagement, citizen science, and the development of decision-support tools for protected areas and local authorities. ENVIX-Lab combines scientific research with practical applications for the sustainable management and valorisation of natural and cultural heritage. The laboratory is particularly interested in cooperation projects aimed at capitalising existing knowledge, methodologies and tools to support sustainable tourism, nature-based solutions, biodiversity conservation, environmental education, and the long-term resilience of Adriatic and Mediterranean coastal and rural destinations.
