Youth engagement at the EUSAIR Annual Forum in Skopje | The programme

The 11th Forum of the EU Strategy for the Adriatic and Ionian Region (EUSAIR) will take place in Skopje, North Macedonia, from 18–20 May 2026 at the Holiday Inn Hotel Skopje, under the title “Accelerating EUSAIR: from commitment to impact”.
As the flagship annual event of EUSAIR, the Forum will bring together institutional representatives, stakeholders, international organisations, youth actors and civil society organisations to discuss shared priorities and strengthen cooperation across the Adriatic-Ionian region.A central focus of this year’s Forum will be the promotion of meaningful youth engagement through the EUSAIR Youth Council (EYC).
Two will be the sessions dedicated to youth on 18 May.
- The EUSAIR Youth Council Meeting of Members
- "Reversing the Trend: Investing in Youth as a Macroregional Imperative"
On 20 May, the programme will feature three parallel sessions:
- “Youth at the Helm: Navigating Meaningful Participation in Macro-Regions”,
- “Empowering Youth with Skills and Entrepreneurship for a Resilient EUSAIR Region”.
The day will moreover include the EUSAIR POPRI Youth Business Model Competition and its Youth Award Ceremony.
Such sessions wrap up on one year of progress in youth engagement in the EUSAIR since the official inauguration of the EYC in December 2024. The EYC provides an important space for Adriatic Ionian youth to participate in the Strategy and contribute to its priorities.
YPACT will monitor progress of the Youth Council’s initiatives and its contribution to enhanced youth engagement and regional cooperation across the Adriatic-Ionian area, of which Italy and Croatia are active part.
