TRANS MARIS Mentorship Programme Begins with the First Meeting of Mentees
On Wednesday, 15 July, the first meeting with the mentees participating in the TRANS MARIS project will take place at Spacio Matika, with the possibility of joining online. This event marks the official beginning of the project's mentorship programme.
The meeting will provide an opportunity to get to know the mentees, learn more about their professional backgrounds, interests and motivations, and lay the foundations for an individualised mentoring approach. By understanding each participant's aspirations and experience, the project team will be able to tailor the programme to their needs and maximise the learning experience throughout the project.
The Croatian meeting follows the successful online introductory session organised by the project partner Comune di Cesenatico on 9 July, which brought together 18 mentees – a record number of applications for the programme. The diversity of their professional backgrounds, combined with their enthusiasm and commitment, is a strong indication of the programme's potential and an excellent foundation for a successful cross-border collaboration.
The mentorship programme is one of the key activities of the TRANS MARIS project, fostering the intergenerational transmission of maritime knowledge and skills while empowering a new generation of professionals and enthusiasts dedicated to safeguarding and promoting maritime heritage.
