Centre for International Projects presented 11 projects at the 12th Career Day of the University of Rijeka, Faculty of Maritime Studies

The University of Rijeka, Faculty of Maritime Studies, organized its 12th annual Career Day on 16th April 2025. This traditional event provides students with the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the professional sphere and connect with representatives from the maritime industry, state institutions, and other relevant organizations. The goal of the event is to equip aspiring seafarers, maritime and transport professionals through knowledge-sharing, experience exchange, and professional development opportunities.
As part of the event, the Centre for International Projects, an organizational unit of the Faculty focused on strengthening its capacity for international collaborations and EU research programs, presented 11 current projects funded by various European programs. The goal was to highlight the Faculty's active involvement in a diverse range of international collaborations.
The presented projects include:
- Healthy Sailing, INNO2MARE, and ATLANTIS (Horizon Europe program),
- TOFOLA, TransH2 and BEST4.0 (Interreg Italy–Croatia),
- FRED (Interreg EuroMED),
- NextBlueGeneration (EMFAF),
- GREENPORT, DigiMar, and Sea4Shore (ERASMUS+).
These projects generated significant interest among students and other exhibitors, highlighting the importance of international initiatives in strengthening knowledge, innovation, and the connection between education and practice.
The University of Rijeka, Faculty of Maritime Studies, has once again reaffirmed its role as a regional center of excellence and a key link between science, industry, and education in the maritime sector.
