At the workshop, which was attended by a large number of agriculture producers from the area of the city of Knin, the lecturer Ana Marušić Lisac, from the BIOTECHNICON presented the possibilities and limitations of the procedures for introducing certificates and labels, and primarily their significance for sustainable tourism to raise the level of knowledge and innovation.

Given that BIOTECHNICON has been one of the leading certification bodies in Croatia for more than 20 years, the participants had the opportunity to learn all the necessary steps for entering the system of organic agriculture and production, as well as the obligations that entry into the system entails.

Since the entire project, as well as the activity in question, is aimed at encouraging the culture of food, gastronomy, and lifestyle through sustainable tourism products and services, Šibenik-Knin County has focused on ecological agriculture and production, especially considering the modern way of life and the increased demand for ecological products.

The next workshop dedicated to this topic will be held in mid-February in Drniš, while the third and final workshop will be held in early March in Sibenik.
