Idrovore Aperte: Visit to the Ferrara pumping stations

Sant'Antonino pumping station

How does a pumping station work, and what role does it play in the hydraulic management and safety of a territory?

On Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 May, you will have the chance to discover it firsthand by visiting the pumping stations of Codigoro and Sant’Antonino di Cona, thanks to the Idrovore Aperte initiative of the Consorzio di Bonifica Pianura di Ferrara.

The initiative is part of the STRENGTH project and offers an opportunity to see how pumping stations operate, explore the territory, understand the value of land reclamation, and increase awareness of territorial risks and their prevention.

Idrovore Aperte is part of the Settimana Nazionale della Bonifica e Irrigazione!

The visits are free, and no booking is required.
