How to prevent and mitigate the consequences of flooding and other natural disasters was the focus of the educational workshops and lectures that took place in the primary school and kindergarten in the City of Opuzen last January 26.
The workshops were conducted by the head of the civil protection service in Dubrovnik, Mrs. Ana Miličić, with the participation of the police officers from Metković, the Croatian mountain service rescue officers and the representatives of DUNEA - the Regional development agency of Dubrovnik-Neretva region. The aims of such activities is to improve citizens resilience, raising awareness about of natural and man-made hazards, emergency situations. After the lectures, each kid received a color book titled ''Kad poplava vreba, pripremiti se treba'' (When flood overeflows, we need to be prepared)
