RESONANCE Public Event in Fano on Climate and Hydrogeological Risk
On Tuesday, 7 July 2026, starting at 09:00, the University of Urbino “Carlo Bo” will host the RESONANCE Public Event in Fano, Via Arco D’Augusto 2, dedicated to climate change and hydrogeological risk.
The programme will include expert presentations on climate change scenarios, Mediterranean climate and ocean modelling, impacts on coastal dynamics, civil protection alerts, meteotsunami generation in the Adriatic Sea, and the interaction between seas, rivers, and hydrogeological risk. Special attention will also be given to adaptation measures in the Marche Region and to the role of the Conero Regional Park within the RESONANCE project.
The afternoon session will focus on coastal hazard assessment at Croatian pocket beaches, RESONANCE project results and future perspectives, coastal landslides and retrogression, and the use of virtual reality, augmented reality, and artificial intelligence for geoscience, cultural heritage, and geological and hydraulic risk analysis.
The event promotes knowledge exchange, innovative technologies, and cross-sector cooperation for improved climate adaptation and sustainable coastal risk management in the Adriatic region.
