About section

About

Project OMNIS is a Small-scale project that fosters sustainable and inclusive tourism in coastal and inner areas of Italy and Croatia, ensuring access for vulnerable groups. It promotes inland destinations through collaboration between coastal and inner area tourism stakeholders, targeting travelers with dogs and visually impaired individuals with guide dogs.

OMNIS offers a replicable model to reduce the environmental and social impact of coastal areas, enhance accessible tourism development for inland regions, and extend to other niches like the elderly and people with disabilities. The project uniquely combines inclusivity, sustainability, and cooperation, fostering economic growth while ensuring tourism access for vulnerable individuals.

OMNIS Tells Its Story: A Journey Towards More Inclusive and Sustainable Tourism

In a world where travel should be a right for all, many barriers still stand in the way—some visible, others invisible but equally limiting. For blind or visually impaired travelers, for those accompanied by guide dogs, for tourists with pets, and for small local communities off the beaten path, the challenges of inclusive and sustainable tourism are real. OMNIS was created to break down these barriers and build a new way of traveling—one that is accessible, authentic, and beneficial to both travelers and the regions they explore.
