Research, innovation and consumer engagement at AquaFarm 2026
21/02/2026
The project was presented at AquaFarm 2026 in Pordenone on 18-19 February 2026 through a joint stand featuring scientific and project posters developed by the partners, showcasing research on biosecurity, monitoring, sustainable mariculture and flat oyster farming. All partners were present and active.
Visitors could learn more about the latest project results and take part in a consumer survey on flat oyster consumption, supporting the development of economic and bioeconomic models for the sector.
The stand also hosted activities promoting the Good AquaFood campaign, including an interactive quiz on aquaculture and the nutritional quality and safety of farmed products. The three-language Good AquaFood cookbook, developed in Italian, Croatian and English, was also presented to visitors.
The participation provided an opportunity to connect research, industry and consumers and to promote innovative and sustainable approaches to aquaculture across the Adriatic region.
