Taste Sustainability at the Italian Oyster Fest 2026
Visitors to the Italian Oyster Fest 2026 in La Spezia will have the opportunity to discover the taste, quality and sustainability of European flat oysters through a series of public activities organised by Marinet experts and partners during the festival from 22 to 24 May 2026.
At the heart of the initiative is the Good AquaFood Campaign, an outreach and awareness activity promoting sustainable aquaculture, responsible seafood consumption and innovation in Adriatic mariculture.
The Campaign will be presented by the Marinet experts during the three days of the festival at

Festival visitors will be able to:
• learn more about sustainable aquaculture and oyster farming,
• meet experts and project partners,
• participate in a public prize quiz,
• receive educational and promotional materials,
• and discover the environmental and nutritional value of aquaculture products.
Free Guided Oyster Tastings
A special highlight of the programme of the Good AquaFood Campaign is the free guided tasting sessions dedicated to the European flat oyster (Ostrea edulis). AMA experts will guide you through the experience, while Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Management and University of Udine staff will help you with the organisation.

Two tasting sessions are available:
⏰ SESSION 1: 11:30 AM – 12:00 PM
⏰ SESSION 2: 12:00 PM – 12:30 PM
Participants will enjoy:

🥖 Traditional Ligurian focaccia
The tasting experience is free of charge and available for up to 60 participants.
Registration Required
Participants are invited to register online in advance or directly at the AMA stand at least 10 minutes before the selected tasting session, subject to availability.
