Final Conference – From Skills Gaps to Blue Opportunities
The Final Conference will take place on 10 September 2026 at the University of Applied Sciences in Šibenik, Croatia, bringing together project partners, researchers, educators, industry representatives and key stakeholders from the blue economy sector.
The conference will mark the conclusion of the MareSkill project and provide an opportunity to present its main results, training experiences and lessons learned, while opening a discussion on how education, research and industry can work together to respond to the future skills needs of the blue economy.
A central part of the programme will be the stakeholder round table:
“Blue Skills for the Future: Are Education and Industry Ready for the Next Generation of the Blue Economy?”
The discussion will focus on future blue skills, emerging labour market needs, the green and digital transition, and the importance of strengthening cooperation between education, research and industry.
The conference will conclude with reflections on the MareSkill legacy and the sustainability of project results, followed by a networking lunch in Šibenik city centre.
