In-person 14th COM Meetup & Training on AI and Project Communication

The 14th COM Meetup & Training on AI and Project Communication was held in Venice within the framework of the Interreg Italy–Croatia Programme, bringing together communication managers from funded projects for a day dedicated to exchange, capacity building, and professional networking.
The event opened with a Welcome & Icebreaking activity, led by Ms. Cristina Valentini, Communication Officer, aimed at fostering interaction and creating a collaborative working environment among participants. This was followed by the COM Meetup, facilitated by Ms. Valentini, during which participants shared experiences, challenges, and good practices related to project communication within EU-funded initiatives.
A central part of the programme was the Workshop – Introduction to AI Tools for Project Communication, delivered by Ms. Cristina Valentini and Ms. Renata Marušić, Project Manager. The workshop introduced practical examples of how artificial intelligence tools can support communication activities, improve efficiency, and enhance content development, with a focus on their strategic and responsible use.
The training continued with a Workshop – Simplifying Complex Text, Structuring Stories, Web & Social Media Drafting, led by Ms. Renata Marušić. This session focused on improving clarity and accessibility of project content, strengthening storytelling approaches, and adapting messages for digital channels, including websites and social media platforms.
Beyond the structured sessions, the meetup provided an important opportunity for face-to-face networking, enabling communication managers to exchange contacts, better understand each other’s roles and institutional backgrounds, and strengthen cooperation across projects. While relevant project information is available online, the in-person format proved essential for building stronger professional connections and shared understanding.
The event confirmed the importance of continuous capacity building and collaboration among communication professionals involved in the Interreg Italy–Croatia Programme.
