On November 25, 2025, from 14:00 to 17:00 at the Youth Center Zadar, Mala Scena Hall (Stjepana Radića 11c), the MAPA – Marine Adriatic Parks project invites stakeholders, experts, and the public to a new edition of Blue Café, dedicated to interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary collaboration in marine management, jointly organized by Marine Explorers Society - 20000 Leagues and all MAPA project partners, including those from across the Adriatic.

This dynamic event aims to bring together policymakers, marine managers, fishers, scientists, active citizens, and public sector representatives from across the “blue sector.” Participants will explore the essential role of effectively managed marine protected areas: securing ecological health, strengthening the resilience of coastal communities, and ensuring that sustainable human activities can thrive in harmony with nature.

The program features an interactive “MPA Fresk – Sea-rious game,” designed to break down barriers and foster creative dialogue. Through group play, attendees will learn about the challenges and trade-offs of marine conservation, discover best practices, and share real-world experiences from MAPA pilot sites, including Silba Island.

Registration opens at 14:00, with introductory presentations from project partners followed by the play-based learning and open discussion. The working languages will be Croatian and English, encouraging broad participation.

MAPA continues to prioritize stakeholder engagement and community-driven governance for the Adriatic’s marine protected areas. This Blue Café is an invitation for everyone - whether seasoned professionals or passionate newcomers - to contribute insights and connect sectors.
