Joint strategies to spread good practices on nature protection and biodiversity
WP1 of the HABI project focuses on the scientific assessment and strategic planning for the conservation of NATURA 2000 habitats in Conversano, Mola di Bari, and Lokrum. It includes baseline studies on species and habitats, joint monitoring methodologies, and the development of a transnational conservation strategy. The package ensures a harmonized approach to habitat protection, integrating scientific research, stakeholder engagement, and policy recommendations.

Joint training schemes for NATURA 2000 sites
WP2 of the HABI project focuses on raising awareness and building capacity among stakeholders to support the conservation of NATURA 2000 habitats in Conversano, Mola di Bari, and Lokrum. It includes joint training schemes, public awareness campaigns, and engagement events to educate local authorities, businesses, and communities on sustainable habitat management. Through cross-border workshops and stakeholder involvement, WP2 fosters long-term commitment to biodiversity conservation.
