GOVART Steering Committee established: from shared vision to coordinated action
03/07/2026
Following the official launch of GOVART in Martina Franca, the project partnership met online on 26 June 2026 for the first Steering Committee Meeting, marking an important step in the transition from project start-up to full implementation.
The meeting brought together the Italian and Croatian partners around a common objective: turning the project’s cultural vision into a coordinated path of action. The formal establishment of the Steering Committee, together with the presentation of the Project Management Unit, provides GOVART with a shared framework for dialogue, coordination and collective decision-making.
This new governance structure will accompany the partnership throughout the project, ensuring that activities remain coherent, inclusive and aligned with GOVART’s ambition: strengthening cross-border cultural cooperation between Italy and Croatia through artistic networks, public cooperation and participatory governance.
During the meeting, partners also discussed the main working tools that will guide the next phases of the project, including the management approach, communication planning, risk prevention and quality assurance. Particular attention was given to the Digital Editorial Plan, which will support the visibility of GOVART and help communicate its results to cultural operators, institutions, artists and local communities.
The Steering Committee also offered the opportunity to take stock of the first steps of Work Package 1, with a focus on Activity 1.1 and the upcoming work on stakeholder mapping, governance analysis and consultations. These activities will lay the foundations for the future workshops, artistic residencies and the GOVART Governance Toolkit.
With the Steering Committee now established, GOVART strengthens its internal coordination and confirms the partnership’s shared commitment to building a more connected, collaborative and sustainable Adriatic cultural space.
From the first encounters that gave life to the project, GOVART now moves forward with a clear structure and a common direction: making culture a bridge for cooperation, dialogue and long-term institutional innovation.
