Workshop about GECO2 in Opuzen

Published on 28/07/2021 (last modified 28/07/2021)

Helping local farmers being more sustainable

The second workshop of the GECO2 project organized by Dubrovnik-Neretva County showed companies how to mitigate their CO2 emissions, while at the same time helping local farmers being more sustainable.

This can happen through the innovative voluntary carbon market set up by the GECO2 project, where farmers sequester CO2 and issue carbon credits, and climate-conscious companies can buy the credits to become carbon-neutral as part of their sustainability policy.

The event was held in Opuzen, Croatia, on July 23, 2021.
