The EFFICIENTN2K project hosted a capacity-building event at the Litorale di Ugento Park on July 9-10. The event focused on advanced technologies for managing in coastal and marine Natura 2000 sites, with a primary focus on training participants in drone piloting for precision photogrammetry, fire detection, and territorial monitoring.

The Municipality of Ugento, partner in the EFFICIENTN2K project, hosted a thematic workshop on improving surveillance and management of marine protected areas part of the Natura 2000 network.

The event "Surveillance and Enforcement for the Effectiveness of Marine Protected/Natura 2000 Areas in the Adriatic Sea," supported by the Natura 2000 Biogeographical Process and EFFICIENTN2K project, highlighted the importance of surveillance in these areas. Croatian and Italian experts shared strategies to improve coordination, secure funding, and use advanced technologies for monitoring, resulting in key recommendations to enhance enforcement effectiveness.
