WP1: Innovation capacity building for implementation of marine technologies

Strengthening innovation capacities and promoting technology transfer in applying marine technologies in blue economy sectors.

Activities:

• Activity 1.1 – Develop and implement brainstorming sessions on digital innovative maritime technologies for blue growth and innovation capacity building.

• Activity 1.2 – Mapping of examples of good practice in cooperation of private and scientific sectors and applied research to market in marine technologies.

• Activity 1.3 – Organize focus groups on new business models and technology transfer in marine technologies.

WP2: Innovation network for development of innovative marine technologies for sustainable blue economy

Developing a pilot program for cross-border mobility of researchers for stronger applied research by collaboration with quadruple helix actors in marine technologies and the blue economy.

Activities:

1. Activity 2.1 – Mapping young researchers on a cross-border level in the field of marine technologies.

2. Activity 2.2 – Cross-border pilot program/model for talented young researchers to encourage collaborative RDI.

WP3: Technology transfer through cross-border collaboration for sustainable blue economy – pilot actions

Implementing joint pilot actions and developing new marine technologies for emerging market needs as monitoring and prevention of sea pollution, as a basis for a sustainable blue economy

Activities:

1. Activity 3.1 – Joint research and implementation of innovative marine solutions for defined pilot actions using Living Lab Adriatic sea sites

2. Activity 3.2 – Open discussion with potential users and develop industrial (pre) feasibility studies for developed solutions and technologies for new product applications and territorial/marine monitoring systems

WP4: Co-creation of innovative solution concepts, project concept and new funding opportunities/schemes

Developing new innovative solution concepts for challenges in the blue economy that are ready for funding opportunities

Activities:

• Activity 4.1 – Create methodology and organize open call for identification of challenges in blue economy sectors that could be solved by innovative marine technologies

• Activity 4.2 – Innovation competition in cooperation with financial institutions, Venture capital funds, private equity funds, corporations for development of innovative solution concepts

• Activity 4.3 – Organize co-creation workshops for development of new project concepts for financing from different EU funding and other source

• Activity 4.4 – Make analysis, open discussion with policy makers and raise awareness on potential new financial instrument as Blue funds, blue bonds on crossborder level
