About section

About

DIGITPORTS aims to lead the digital transition of Adriatic Ports by implementing a common strategy focused on Digital Twin technology. This project will develop digital decision-making tools for local and cross-border use, helping port authorities fully digitise administrative processes and promote decarbonisation.

The complex nature of port operations, influenced by various external factors such as weather and vessel scheduling, necessitates a shift from fixed daily scheduling to a dynamic support system. This change will enhance operational efficiency and reduce CO2 emissions. DIGITPORTS will leverage Digital Twins and Artificial Intelligence to facilitate data-driven decision-making for sustainable port operations, predictive maintenance, and improved territorial management. The initiative will create integrated tools capable of handling extensive data within the intricate port ecosystem.
