Kick-off conference in Campobasso, Italy

The Kick-off conference of the Digital Plan project "Civil Protection Plan Digitalization through Internet of Things Decision Support System based Platform" was held in Campobasso, Italy, on the 2nd and 3rd July. The project is funded by the INTERREG VI-A Italy-Croatia 2021-2027 Programme, with the thematic area "Green and resilient shared environment." The project budget amounts to  2.665.725,34 EUR, with EU co-financing totaling 2.132.580,28 EUR.

The Digital Plan project aims to digitize civil protection plans, already operatives within territorial areas of the project partners. It is based on the concept of the common cross-border model of digital civil protection plan aimed at addressing the challenges faced by the territories of the project partners.

The conference took place at the premises of the lead partner, GAL Molise verso il 2000 (IT). Alongside Zadar County Rural Development Agency AGRRA (HR), other project partners include Maiella National Park (IT), Ca' Foscari University of Venice (IT), City of Dubrovnik (HR), Public Institution RERA SD for coordination and development of the Split-Dalmatia County (HR), Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture of the University of Split (HR) and Province of Fermo (IT).

The project is divided into three work packages:

1. Digitalization model of civil protection plans and IoT EDSS Platform Development

2. Pilot studies and Capacity Building

3. Development of Cross-Border Strategy and Action plan

Project partners used this conference to present planned activities within the mentioned work packages. GAL Molise verso il 2000, as the lead partner, presented the first work package (WP1), followed by the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture in Split, and Ca' Foscari University of Venice, who presented their activities within this package. Ca' Foscari University of Venice is also the leader of the second work package (WP2), while the Public Institution RERA SD for Coordination and Development of the Split-Dalmatia County leads the third work package (WP3). Following the work package presentations, AGRRA, as the leader of the communication package, presented the project's communication strategy.
