DIGITAL CP Seminar in Dubrovnik: Advancing the Digitalisation of Civil Protection Plans

On 25 August 2026, the City of Dubrovnik organised a Digital CP Seminar within the DIGITAL PLAN project, bringing together 14 representatives of public and institutional stakeholders, including local administration, technical and professional bodies and civil protection stakeholders.
The seminar focused on the Action Plan for Civil Protection Plans Digitalization, presenting the common framework developed through the project for transforming existing civil protection planning information into structured, standardised and georeferenced digital datasets.
Participants were also introduced to the IoT-based Decision Support System (DSS) platform, including its main functionalities and the integration of digitalised Civil Protection information with IoT-generated data. The presentation also highlighted the results of the project's pilot activities and the contribution of the City of Dubrovnik.
The final part of the seminar was dedicated to an open discussion with participants. The exchange focused on the practical use of digitalised information, the importance of reliable and regularly updated datasets, institutional coordination and the integration of digital tools into existing civil protection procedures.
The seminar highlighted the importance of continued cooperation and the sustainability, transferability and further use of the digital solutions developed through DIGITAL PLAN.
