DIGITAL PLAN Final Conference held in Dubrovnik

The DIGITAL PLAN project officially concluded its activities with the Final Conference, held on 27 August 2026 at Akademis Academia in Dubrovnik. The event brought together project partners and key stakeholders from Croatia and Italy to present the main results achieved throughout the project and discuss the continued use of the solutions developed within the project.
The conference was hosted by the City of Dubrovnik, which welcomed the participants and opened the event. Following the opening remarks, a press conference was held, providing an opportunity to present the project and its main achievements to the public. Helena Brčić, representing the Joint Secretariat, also presented an overview of the project implementation and the progress achieved during its lifetime.
A central part of the conference was dedicated to presentations by all project partners. Representatives of GAL Molise, AGRRA, Maiella National Park, Ca' Foscari University of Venice, Municipality of Dubrovnik, RERA, FESB and Municipality of Fermo presented the activities implemented in their respective pilot areas, as well as the key results and experiences gained through the project.
Particular attention was given to the IoT-DSS platform, presented by the technical expert of GAL Molise, Nicola Bonavita. The platform represents one of the main technological outcomes of the DIGITAL PLAN project, bringing together data from different sources and supporting the digitalisation of Civil Protection Plans. By integrating real-time data and digital tools, the platform provides a stronger basis for monitoring risks, improving situational awareness and supporting decision-making in emergency situations.
The conference also included a presentation of the Action Plan for Civil Protection Plans Digitization, delivered by Gina Bilankov from Correlate d.o.o. and Ivan Jakelić from RERA. The Action Plan provides a framework for the further implementation and adoption of digital approaches to civil protection planning.
The event concluded with the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding by the project partners. The Memorandum represents a shared commitment to continue cooperation and promote the adoption of digital methodologies in civil protection and emergency planning. It also provides an important basis for the continued implementation of the project's Action Plan and the use of the solutions developed through DIGITAL PLAN beyond the project's implementation period.
The Final Conference marked an important milestone for the partnership, providing an opportunity to reflect on the results achieved through joint efforts across Croatia and Italy. At the same time, it highlighted the importance of maintaining cooperation and continuing to build on the digital tools, knowledge and experience developed throughout the project.
