On 18-19 March 2026, the consortium of the Digital Plan project gathered in Fermo for the 5th Coordination and Steering Committee Meeting, continuing joint efforts towards the digitalisation of civil protection plans.

The meeting provided an overview of progress across all work packages, with particular focus on the development of the Internet of Things (IoT)-based Decision Support System (DSS) platform and the associated interactive digital mapping tools. Partners also discussed the status of pilot activities and upcoming implementation steps.

Within WP2, updates were presented on pilot area identification, sensor specifications, and ongoing deployment activities, alongside planned training and capacity building initiatives aimed at strengthening the skills of stakeholders involved in civil protection and emergency response.

WP3 discussions focused on the development of a cross-border strategy and action plan, including the Memorandum of Understanding between partners, as well as next steps related to platform optimisation, dissemination activities, and preparation of the final conference.

A press conference was organised as part of the meeting, underlining the importance of the project in enhancing resilience, preparedness, and safety in the cross-border area.

The meeting confirmed strong and continued cooperation between Italian and Croatian partners, jointly contributing to the development of innovative digital solutions for more efficient and modern civil protection systems.
