23/09/2024
On November 23, 2024, Metković hosted the final D.E.C. final project conference, where young digital ethics ambassadors received certificates, focusing on digital ethics, cooperation, and improving digital culture.
This project and final event, funded by the Interreg Italy-Croatia 2021-2027 program, invited young professionals to become digital ambassadors, allowing them to actively shape the future of digital ethics. The conference served as a cross-border innovation platform focused on online safety, artificial intelligence, and data protection. Leading experts in these fields exchanged knowledge, while a network of intergenerational ambassadors was established from regions like Molise, Marche, and the Dubrovnik-Neretva County.
Young ambassadors Ms. Ana-Marija Jelčić and Mr. Niko Bojbaša were selected through a public call and awarded Certificates of Participation by Mayor Dalibor Milan. Additionally, a Certificate of Attendance was signed in the presence of EURelations G.E.I.E. with Ms. Sabrina Varriano. Their certificates confirm their membership in the Intergenerational and Cross-Border Digital Ethics Ambassadors network, alongside other ambassadors such as Giorgio Giannini from Italy. The ambassadors are committed to enhancing digital culture and security.
Their objectives include evaluating D.E.C. project tools and achievements, exploring bilateral and multilateral cooperation opportunities, and improving digital culture in partner territories. They also recommend that the European Commission continue supporting initiatives that raise awareness and facilitate a digital transition in an ethical framework. This project encourages youth participation and fosters a future-oriented community emphasizing digital ethical standards and security.
