1st online meeting with external experts within D.E.C. project held on 8th of April 2024

The 1st online meeting of the Digital Ethics Culture (D.E.C.) project on April 8, 2023, gathered partners from EURelations GEIE, Municipality of Metković, and Odòs Cooperative. They discussed data protection regulations and AI risks, agreeing to hold capacity-building sessions for young people aged 25-35. This meeting set the foundation for collaboration and planned a follow-up on April 29. The project runs from August 1, 2023, to November 30, 2024, with a total budget of 206,540 EUR, funded by Interreg Italy-Crotia 2021-2027.
The topics of 1st online meeting were the main regulations on data protection digital rights and the new technologies at the European and National level. Thematic experts on behalf of EURelations GEIE (Mr.Davide Giribaldi), Municipality of Metkovic (Mr. Aco Momčilović), and ODOS (Mr. Emanele Frontoni) discussed about the testing phase on risks associated with new technologies such as AI.
The project partners agreed to hold in each territory a capacity-building session, conducted by a thematic expert on behalf of each institution as practical workshops on AI tools, and information on risks and tools to avoid them. The project partners revised target groups (young people from 25-35 years old and more) who would attend those sessions in hybrid mode and create of network of intergenerational and cross-border ambassadors within the target group.
1st online meeting was a starting point for discussing and disseminating tasks among all experts and scheduling the 2nd meeting on the 29th of April at 16:30, in online mode.
