Diversified crossborder tourism offer

Project Work Package 2 focuses on developing a sustainable mobility and tourism linked to the ADRIATIC-IONIAN Cycle Route. Activity 2.1.4. is defining and developing a diversified cross-border tourism offer along the cycle routes for more sustainable and responsive tourism based on sustainable mobility.
The deliverable (D.2.1.4.), developed by the project partner Primorje – Gorski kotar County, presents the defining and developing a diversified cross-border tourism offer.
The data methodology defined in this report focuses on two different kinds of data:
- Tourist offer
This data refers to the touristic points of interest (POI) relevant for cycle tourists moving along the cycleways (e.g. visitor centers, rest area/ viewpoints, beaches, thematic parks and trails, castles/ fortresses) and the local services for cycle tourists to support cyclists along the ways (e.g. tourist agencies, bike&bed accommodation, bike shops, bike rentals, public transport, public toilets)
- Cycling routes
Local and long-distance routes, already existing in the regions.
This Deliverable of the CYROS project and serves as the database of new itineraries/ tourist packages created along the Adriatic-Ionian Cycle Route, as well as the operational plan of development of cyclo-tourism.
