Summer 2024 brings with it the implementation of CReAIT recipies

The summer season has begun and our recipes are ready to be enjoyed in the territory.
In Croatia, innovation focuses on the technological development of services for greater use and accessibility of target sites and is currently being implemented, while in Fermo we started last June with initiatives and the others are being tested.
The first was EASURES TO IMPROVE THE RECEPTION OF DEAF VISITORS AND TOURISM COMMUNICATION. This recipe is aimed at enhancing communication and hospitality for deaf and hard-of-hearing visitors within the tourism sector. Organised by the Stakeholder OSSMED, it proposed two seminars:
1. Deaf Space Design: led by Architect Paolo Anzuini, focuses on creating
‘deaf-friendly’ tourist accommodations;
2. Easy to Understand for
All: Conducted by Carlo
Nofri and Dr. Nicola Mastidoro.
This seminar aimed to improve accessible communication within tourist accommodations. It used the ‘Information for All’ guidelines and the AI-based software “Corrige” to ensure that information is clear and easily understandable for all visitors, including those with hearing impairments.
The proposals, which took place in June, were well attended and represented a real opportunity for the area to raise awareness of accessibility, inclusion and networking, gathering enthusiasm from participants and the community.
The first week of July opened with the activation of an educational service on the Fermo coast: two facilities, project stakeholders, welcomed our educators and beneficiary tourists. The service will cover the months of July, August and the first week of September with the objective of providing a pathway of care, relief and customised activities. The primary beneficiaries of this project are tourists with a range of disabilities, including physical, intellectual, psychological, and neurodiversity conditions, spanning all age groups.
This AI Turism initiative is designed to provide comprehensive educational support and assistance services to this kind of tourists at first and to ensure them and their families to fully enjoy their vacation experiences. All the proposed activities are organised according to needs and requirements, implemented directly on the project sites and structured according to a common theme: travel.
The objective is to convey the possibility that ‘On holiday you can’..in terms of accessibility, autonomy and personalisation is pursued with organisational methods and tools aimed at providing an experience without... Barriers! At the moment, energy, enthusiasm and collaboration are the main ingredients of this summer that ‘tastes’ of innovation and improvement.
