Boosting Cross-Border Cooperation & CoM Partner Skills

The project aims to increase the local communities knowledge and awareness about the energy efficiency and the innovative practices for emission reduction, through the participation in several workshops that will be organized within the project.

Foreseen outputs are:
- Memorandum of Understanding (MoU);
- Upgrade or revision of project partners' Covenant of Mayors action plans

Covenant of Mayors | Protection of cities

This section contains the technical documents developed by each project partner to solidify their commitment to implementing their respective SECAPs.

The project partners have made substantial updates to their SECAPs, strengthening and enhancing their overall performance. As for the Municipality of Labin, the administration revised the CoM's action plan to upgrade and improve the implementation of the activities outlined in the CoM, particularly in relation to its SECAP.

Regarding the Municipality of Pietracatella, the project facilitated a revision of the CoM's action plan, allowing the municipality to upgrade and improve the implementation of the activities and plans foreseen by the CoM.

Meanwhile, for the Municipality of Mesagne, the project enabled the creation of a series of technical annexes that will serve as the foundation for the future concrete implementation of the municipality's SECAP. 

Strategy for green urban renewal

The Green Urban Renewal Strategy of the City of Labin outlines a structured approach to sustainable urban development. The strategy focuses on enhancing green infrastructure, promoting circular economy principles, and integrating nature-based solutions (NBS) to strengthen climate resilience and environmental sustainability. 

Memorandum of Understanding

The project partners, led by the Lead Partner, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to officially express their shared commitment and alignment of intentions towards the development and implementation of sustainable energy and climate governance policies. The MoU outlined a common course of action concerning CoM activities and the implementation of the Sustainable Energy Plan. The agreement, jointly drafted by the partners, was signed by the respective mayors of the municipalities of Mesagne, Pietracatella, and Labin during the project's final conference and remains open for signature by other mayors who wish to join the initiative. 

CO-MAY E-book

The CO-MAY Booklet presents the key results of the project, enhancing governance capacities and sustainability policies among local authorities in Italy and Croatia, aligning with the Covenant of Mayors for Climate & Energy and the European Green Deal. The booklet underscores the collaborative approach of CO-MAY, demonstrating how municipalities can leverage existing frameworks, resources, and funding to drive local sustainability initiatives and build climate resilience.
