After two years of work across Italy and Croatia, the CAMPUS project is coming to a close and Monte Sant'Angelo is where it all comes together.

On 25 June 2026, the City Library "Ciro Angelillis" hosts the CAMPUS Regional Conference, the closing event of a programme that has put UNESCO Heritage Sites at the centre of the climate adaptation challenge. Expect a full morning of ideas and exchange: keynote speeches on the future of UNESCO sites, the project's key results, and a hands-on Local Heritage Workshop where partners and institutions shape the next steps for protecting our cultural and natural heritage from a changing climate.

And there's more to celebrate: the conference falls right within the celebrations for 15 years since Monte Sant'Angelo's first UNESCO recognition - the inscription of the Sanctuary of San Michele Arcangelo on the World Heritage List in 2011, as part of "The Longobards in Italy. Places of Power (568-774 A.D.)".
