The Public Institution Development Agency of Lika-Senj County – LIRA, in cooperation with its associated partner Plitvice Lakes National Park, is organizing the CAMPUS Regional Conference and Workshops, which will take place at the Development Center of Lika-Senj County in Gospić on 5 May 2026, starting at 9:00 a.m.

The event is implemented within the framework of the CAMPUS project – Climate Adaptation Plans for UNESCO Sites (ID: ITHR0200358; Interreg Italy–Croatia 2021–2027) and brings together a series of project activities, including a regional conference and thematic workshops.

The aim is to present cross-border guidelines and climate change adaptation plans, exchange knowledge and experiences, and showcase examples of good practice as well as key challenges in the management of UNESCO sites. Special emphasis is placed on the monitoring system tool and the potential integration of project results into local and regional policies.

Through integration workshops, additional work will be carried out on exploring the possibilities for applying project results in decision-making processes.

The event contributes to strengthening cooperation and developing more effective approaches to climate change adaptation in UNESCO-protected areas.

All interested stakeholders, experts, and institutional representatives are invited to join the event and actively participate in the exchange of knowledge and experience.
