Drone in action in Venice
A drone glides across the water and turns heads. On 13 March 2026, the BRIGANTINE team presents its marine drone to stakeholders at the Arsenale of Venice (Italy), hosted by National Research Council - Institute of Marine Environmental Research (CNR-ISMAR).
Researchers, authorities, and technical experts gather to witness the demonstration. The autonomous surface vehicle shows how real-time data can support marine monitoring. The goal is to connect innovation with real-world needs and involve key actors in environmental protection.
The demonstration takes place during the 4th Steering Committee meeting and General Assembly, organized by CORILA. The meeting focuses on project progress, coordination, and future planning. It confirms the shared commitment to advancing marine monitoring technologies.
All BRIGANTINE partners are present, highlighting strong international collaboration. Among the many participants are Prof. Sabina Susmel (Lead Partner, University of Udine), Prof. Smiljko Rudan (University of Zagreb), Prof. Francesco Trevisan (University of Udine), Dr. Mirta Smodlaka Tankovic (Ruđer Bošković Institute), and Caterina Dabalà (CORILA).
