Students discover BRIGANTINE labs

The Brigantine project continues to engage high school students in activities related to the “Awareness campaign on the protection and conservation of high-value seaweeds and seagrass meadow habitats”.

The Polytechnic University of Marche, with Professor Anna Annibaldi and Stefano Accoroni, guides students into the world of “nutrients and algae,” using microscopes and spectrophotometric analysis for the chemical determination of nutrients in water.

Three different sessions were organized on 15, 16, and 19 January 2026, involving more than 50 students from high schools in Ancona and Jesi (AN). he students enjoyed discovering the aims of BRIGANTINE and the importance of seaweed protection, also learning how a marine drone can support environmental monitoring.
