WP1 focused on assessing Blue Economy SMEs' innovation needs and readiness for Industry 4.0. A standardized methodology was developed, including a questionnaire and the Technology Maturity Level (TML) Index, to evaluate SMEs’ digital adoption. Data from 160 SMEs were collected and analyzed, leading to a comprehensive Mapping Report. Key findings were shared through dissemination events, supporting SMEs in identifying technological gaps and fostering cross-border collaboration. The results lay the foundation for targeted digital transformation actions in the next project phases.

Cross - Border Digital Innovation Hub and plans for Industry 4.0 services
WP2 establishes a Cross-Border Digital Innovation Hub (DIH) network to support Blue Economy SMEs in adopting Industry 4.0 solutions. Through cross-border exchange visits, partners define the network’s governance, functions, and service offerings. An Industry 4.0 Service Catalogue is developed, outlining business support, digital applications, and capacity-building services. The Smart Specialization Strategy (S3) Cross-Border Orientation Plan aligns regional innovation policies with project outcomes. Regional conferences engage policymakers, SMEs, and innovation centers, ensuring knowledge transfer and long-term DIH sustainability.
