Presentation of VR Technologies

On 15 April 2026, at a regional conference held in Pula, Demir Barić and Dario Ogrizović from the project partner University of Rijeka – Faculty of Maritime Studies presented the objectives of the BEST 4.0 – Blue Economy Sectors Digital Transformation towards Industry 4.0 (Interreg Italy–Croatia 2021–2027) project.
They also introduced the application of virtual reality (VR) technologies in maritime research and education, providing participants with the opportunity to experience VR firsthand and explore its innovative potential in the maritime sector.
The session highlighted the importance of digital transformation and advanced technologies in shaping the future of the blue economy, particularly in enhancing education, research, and innovation within maritime industries.
