Exchange Visit in Šibenik – Advancing Digital Innovation in the Blue Economy

Last week, from March 4th to 6th, Exchange Visit at DIH AgriFood Croatia brought together project partners, SMEs, and research institutions from Italy and Croatia to exchange knowledge on digital transformation in the Blue Economy.
The visit included Innovation Center AluTech, the Ruđer Bošković Institute, and DIH AFC’s mussel and oyster farm, providing participants with insights into technological advancements in the maritime sector. These site visits highlighted ongoing research, innovation, and digitalization trends, showcasing how technology is shaping the future of the Blue Economy.
Dedicated meetings on the digital transformation of SMEs provided a platform for project partners to present their Industry 4.0 services, which will be included in the upcoming Industry 4.0 Service Catalogue. These services aim to support SMEs in adopting automation, smart technologies, and digital tools to enhance competitiveness and sustainability.
Beyond knowledge exchange, the visit strengthened cross-border collaboration, fostering innovation and sustainable growth in the Blue Economy.
