A Day of Innovation at the Archaeological Park of Sepino

On November 21, 2024, the Archaeological Park of Sepino hosted a pivotal meeting for the ARCHAEODIGIT project (Archaeological Digital Paths for an Inclusive and Sustainable Tourism), funded by the Interreg Italy-Croatia program.

The event brought together experts, scientific partners, and technical teams to define innovative strategies for managing and enhancing archaeological heritage.

  • Presentation of the Current State and Development Opportunities
    The Park’s Director, Enrico Rinaldi, introduced participants to the site, outlining its needs and potential. This presentation set the foundation for collaborative planning aimed at creating a sustainable Management Plan.

  • Methodologies for the Management Plan
    A key focus of the event was the discussion of innovative technologies, such as 3D digitization and augmented reality, which will enable the Park to offer a more inclusive and accessible visitor experience.

  • Collaboration Among International Partners
    Working group leaders from the University of Macerata, the University of Pula, and the technology firm ETT discussed strategies and joint pilot actions to advance the project’s goals.
