About
ADRIAVIVA addresses the challenges of fragmented intangible heritage and seasonal tourism by shifting from top-down approaches to collaborative, community-driven models. The project focuses on inner and peripheral areas of Italy and Croatia, aiming to strengthen local identities while improving digital and green skills. By engaging youth, the elderly, and people with disabilities, ADRIAVIVA ensures that the valorisation of cultural heritage is both socially inclusive and economically sustainable. The project implements a variety of innovative actions, including a joint digital database and thematic itineraries that link coastal and inland operators. A key feature is the development of a multilingual AR web app and QR code system, which enhances accessibility for all visitors. Furthermore, youth and local creatives co-design a cross-border fantasy narrative and gamification system, transforming cultural fruition into an active, engaging experience that integrates digital storytelling with local traditions. By embedding circular economy principles into tourism services and slow-mobility routes, ADRIAVIVA creates a durable and replicable methodology. This cross-border cooperation is essential for establishing a unified visitor experience and a shared narrative, ensuring that cultural sites become multidisciplinary hubs that generate new, sustainable tourism flows across the Adriatic.
