Study Visit along the Saint Francis Way in Emilia-Romagna
AdriACTIVE will hold its first Study Visit in Emilia-Romagna from October 13 to 15, 2026, organised by the Emilia-Romagna Region and based in Verucchio, in the province of Rimini.
The visit will bring together project partners to discover places and experiences along the Saint Francis Way, exploring how walking routes and local cultural heritage can enrich the tourism offer across the Adriatic.
The programme will open with a Welcome Ceremony at the Rocca Malatestiana in Verucchio on October 13, introducing participants to the route and the tradition of the “Pilgrim’s Passport”. Over the following two days, guided walks and visits will take participants to the convents of Santa Croce and Sant’Igne, through the Valmarecchia landscape and into the historic centre of San Leo.
The Study Visit will take place alongside the third Partnership and Steering Committee meeting and a Cross-Border territorial event in San Leo dedicated to enhancing local tourism to generate cross-border value.
Through first-hand experiences and exchanges among partners, the visit will provide practical inspiration for the development of AdriACTIVE’s cross-border tourism itinerary.
