Hybrid innovations towards the decarbonisation of fisheries and aquaculture to be presented at Tipicità in Blu

The workshop will take place on Thursday, 21 May 2026, at the Mole Vanvitelliana in Ancona, with the participation of the Italian and Croatian partners of the project.

The first results of the 3EFISHING project will be presented during the workshop “The innovations of the 3EFISHING Project – Towards the decarbonisation of the fisheries and aquaculture sector”, scheduled for Thursday, 21 May 2026, from 3.30 p.m., at the Mole Vanvitelliana in Ancona, within the framework of Tipicità in Blu.

The event is part of the dissemination and demonstration activities of 3EFISHING, a project co-financed by the INTERREG Italy-Croatia 2021–2027 Programme and coordinated by the University of Bologna. The project aims to support the energy transition of the fisheries and aquaculture sector through concrete and applicable solutions, including the testing of hybrid propulsion systems on two vessels dedicated to fishing and aquaculture activities.

By reducing fuel consumption, emissions and environmental impact, while improving the operational efficiency of fleets, 3EFISHING intends to contribute to a more sustainable and competitive future for the Adriatic maritime economy.

AMAP - Agency for Innovation in the Agri-food and Fisheries Sector “Marche Agricoltura e Pesca” participates in the project as a partner and will contribute to the organisation of the workshop, which will bring together institutions, research organisations, sector operators and stakeholders interested in innovation, sustainability and decarbonisation.

Italian and Croatian project partners will take part in the event, including the University of Bologna, the Croatian Ministry of Agriculture – Directorate of Fisheries, the County of ZadarCromaris, the Institute of Oceanography and Fisheries of SplitISMEA, and CIHEAM Bari – Mediterranean Agronomic Institute of Bari.

The workshop will provide an opportunity to share experiences, good practices and future perspectives related to the sustainable transition of fisheries and aquaculture, strengthening cooperation between the two sides of the Adriatic.
