All project partners participated in the fourth partnership meeting of the WATERCARE project, part of the INTERREG Italy-Croatia cross-border cooperation program.
Given the current state of the COVID-19 pandemic, a partnership meeting was held online.
The main topic of the meeting was the technical implementation of a project-designed sampling system of water from Arzilla, Pescara, Neretva, Cetina and Raša. More precisely, partnership agreed on the time and frequency of water sampling during and after heavy rains to achieve the most realistic results of bathing sea quality.
WATERCARE partners procured specialized equipment that will be located at the rivers and automatically sample water at intervals adjusted to the weather conditions. In addition to the automatic sampler, samples will also be taken at sea transects to clearly obtain the results of the impact of potential river water pollution on bathing sea quality.
This meeting, even though online, was very useful and important for WATERCARE project and future project activities.
We are very grateful for having such proactive and hardworking partners who don't mind to discuss for almost 9 hours which is the best way to implement this useful alarm system in case of bathing sea pollution to achieve the best results and accomplish project goals!
