Community engagement in Dalmatia: A series of workshops and lectures to bring the local community closer to the topic of local agricultural biodiversity

As part of the VERA project, the partner Permakultura Dalmacjia has actively engaged with the local community in Dalmatia through a series of workshops, lectures, and educational walks. Their goal? To raise awareness about the region's ancient varieties of fruit trees and forest fruit trees, introduce techniques for vegetative propagation of trees, and promote permaculture practices in fruit tree cultivation and agroforestry methods.
A total of 12 workshops, lectures, and educational walks were conducted, guided by expert educators, including internal experts from the Dalmatian Association. These knowledgeable professionals ensured a meaningful and enriching experience for participants, fostering a deeper understanding of the local environment and sustainable practices.
