Empowering Tourism Professionals Through Digital Innovation

On 28 October 2025, the first VALUE Plus training session took place in the beautiful Sala del Consiglio, Lugo (Italy), organized by the Unione dei Comuni della Bassa Romagna in collaboration with CAST – University of Bologna. The session, titled “Digital Methods and Channels for Promoting Tourism,” focused on equipping cultural and tourism operators with practical tools to enhance their territories’ visibility, accessibility, and sustainability.

 

Strengthening Skills and Fostering Cooperation

This training programme supports professionals across Italy and Croatia in developing new skills and perspectives for the cultural and tourism sectors. Through interactive workshops and study visits, participants explore innovative approaches to digital heritage, marketing, and inclusive tourism, fostering cooperation and innovation within local cultural districts.
A total of 31 participants, joined the session, reflecting the project’s inclusive and collaborative spirit.

 

Expert Guidance from Francesco Piersimoni

The training was led by Francesco Piersimoni, co-founder of Adrias Online and a leading expert in tourism marketing. Since 2007, Piersimoni has helped hospitality businesses communicate their uniqueness, connect with travellers, and increase direct bookings through innovative strategies, including the use of artificial intelligence. His engaging teaching style transformed complex marketing concepts into accessible, actionable strategies for all participants.

This event marked another milestone in VALUE Plus’s mission to promote sustainable, digitally empowered, and community-driven tourism across the Italy–Croatia Programme area.
