Parco Delta del Po Veneto, together with University of Padua and Ca’ Foscari - University of Venice are about to start a series of cores for a study about Ancient Adria. A core consists in a continuous section of sediment or rock obtained by using a hollow cylinder called a corer or coring device, and the goal is to better understand the limits and characteristics of the ancient city of Adria, with particular interest in pre-Roman settlements. The cores will be carried out, when possible, where was the ancient town, located in the southern area of the modern one
