The sea is a large treasure casket that preserves stories, memories and traces left by man over the centuries, observed our widely-known journalist and writer Pietro Spirito. Discovering, studying and bringing to the attention of many people - of as many people as possible - this heritage that belongs to everyone, is one of the tasks of those who work to discover, study and disseminate these treasures and memories.

Moreover, the UnderwaterMuse Project has precisely the purpose of promoting and enhancing the submerged archaeological heritage of some areas of the Adriatic, with the design and construction of archaeological parks and trails under the sea, with the training of underwater guides to accompany underwater visitors, but also through virtual reality paths to make these submerged museums accessible to all, even to those who do not dive.

The first of the projects concerns the wreck of the Roman ship Grado 2, located nineteen meters deep off the island of Grado with a load of amphorae dated between the 4th and 3rd centuries BC. Finally, Pietro Spirito concluded that the construction of a submerged archaeological museum around this ship will be an extraordinary opportunity to accompany the general public on a journey through time to discover the traces of a past that is part of our history.
