TEMPUS Open Space Technology (OST) workshop held - A step closer to developing a "Community Building Strategy"

As part of the Tempus project, in accordance with current epidemiological measures, an online project event - Open Space Technology (OST) workshop was held on September 22, 2021 with the aim of defining macro directions in the process of building a TEMPUS community strategy in cooperation with local stakeholders  current local action groups.

The TEMPUS Open Space Technology workshop was attended by 33 representatives of various project target groups, including representatives of various bodies managing cultural and natural heritage, local, regional or national public authorities and cultural education organizations, universities or research institutes.

The workshop was organized by sessions, the most important of which was dedicated to the discussion of four key issues related to the main topic - how to build a community interested in developing and improving the cultural heritage of cultural creative industries? It was discussed in four groups and in four separate rooms (breakingrooms) where each group further developed the discussion for itself and defined two main actions to be implemented, in order to concretize ideas or subtopics. After that, a vote was organized on each proposed idea and action for the development of a "Community Building Strategy".

In addition, workshop participants were interviewed about a new experience in which they participated as people from different fields (institutional, entrepreneurial, research, cultural and creative industries, cultural heritage) thus creating a kind of collective image by summarizing individual experience into three key words cloud".

Open Space technology (OST) is a method for organizing and conducting a meeting or workshop which through informal conversations allows all participants, who come from different types of organizations and from different areas of interest, to create a meeting or workshop. 
This method was devised back in 1983 by Harrison Owen's business consultant, and the originator of the meeting imagined the meeting as a kind of non-stop coffee break, which enables informal exchange of knowledge, thoughts and experiences among participants. take place in parallel, but always focused on a central theme that is of strategic importance.
