The Co-design workshop with the blue economy stakeholders of the Adriatic Sea took place on 18th November 2022

On 18th November 2022 from 9.15 to 13.30, the TECHERA project partners organized the co-design workshop with the blue economy stakeholders of the Adriatic Sea which was held at SEALOGY 2022 (Sala Volturno), Ferrara Fiere Congressi - Via della Fiera, 11, Ferrara (IT).

The co-design workshop goal was to engage the fisheries and aquaculture actors from the Adriatic area in discovering and exchanging new ideas and actions to generate sustainable innovation in the blue economy context. Because we share the same sea basin, there is a clear added value in addressing common challenges and finding joint solutions for the protection of our common resources.

This important trade fair event was attended by Andreaa Strachinescu, - Head of Unit Maritime Innovation, Marine Knowledge and Investment in the Directorate General for Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (DG MARE), responsible for promoting innovative and emerging technologies and solutions, and ensuring broad dissemination of marine knowledge and research.

Sealogy has been a great opportunity not only because it brought together experts and leaders in the Blue Economy sector, but it was also a great opportunity to develop new ideas, new projects, create contacts for the enhancement and protection of the marine environmental and sustainability.

The event was divided in 3 WORKING GROUPS:

  • Session 1: Fisheries management and governance
  • Session 2: Fisheries innovation and diversification
  • Session 3: Aquaculture: Management and innovation
