The University of Zadar is organizing the second public event on the subject of possibilities of the development of eno-gastronomic tourism based on the concept of the so-called slow food in the Zadar Region, and especially in the area of Ravni kotari. This event is the continuation of the previous public event held on the 27th September 2021.

The event “RAVNI KOTARI – A BITE FOR THE FUTURE” will be held on the 21st October 2021 on Butic family farm in Brisevo (Zadar County). In the focus of the event programme will be traditional dishes and drinks, but also other forms of tangible and intangible heritage related to eno-gastronomy of Ravni kotari as key resources for the development of quality tourist offer in this area. The programme will be split into two parts.

The first part of the programme will last from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and it will include students from the University of Zadar as primary participants. The students will have an opportunity to participate in grape harvesting and processing in the vineyard, playing traditional games and planting traditional fruit sorts.

The second part of the programme starts at 12:00 p.m. and it will, besides the University of Zadar students, also include relevant stakeholders from the public and private sector. For this part of the programme, many interesting activities are foreseen - local products and traditional tools fair, presentation of traditional brandy making process, cooking contest with traditional recipes and dishes from Ravni kotari and presentations on the topic of possibilities of eno-gastronomic tourism in Ravni kotari.
