The University of Zadar has held its first in the series of workshops on the topic of process of certification. The workshop was held on 8th November 2021, on the University of Zadar New Campus. The main target audience were small and medium enterprises in the sector of agriculture, manufacturing and tourism. The presentations covered themes such as the possibilities and limitations of the introduction of EU eco-certificates and eco-labels in agriculture and production, as well as the benefits from the application of certificates and labels.
Lectures were given by Ana Marušić Lisac, B. Sc. ing. from the Biotechnicon Entrepreneurial Centre, during which she explained the differences between conventional and ecological agriculture and production, and different regulations that must be regarded. Ms. Marušić also emphasized the role of ecological products certification and opportunities for the placement of such products.
The training provided an opportunity for representatives of small and medium enterprises, representatives of public and scientific institutions and students, who attended the training in large numbers, for a quality and competent discussion, but also a chance for them to give interesting proposals for increasing the volume of ecological training and production in Zadar County.
The following trainings will focus on technical aspects of production and market aspects of EU eco-certificates and eco-labels. For more information about the upcoming workshops and other project news, please follow:
