The system of smart public bicycles will soon be in Solin, Trilj, Sinj and Klis in Croatia

In Solin and Trilj, two bicycle stations with two electric and four classic bicycles will be set up, while in Sinj and Klis, one bicycle station with two electric and 4 classic bicycles will be set up.

As part of the implementation of the international project SUTRA (Sustainable transport in Adriatic coastal areas and hinterland), Solin, Trilj, Sinj and Klis will soon receive a system of public bicycles that includes a total of 12 smart electric and 24 smart classic bicycles.

The value of the investment is 1,509,934.33 kuna, of which 85% is co-financed by the European Union and 15% by the county. In Solin and Trilj, two bicycle stations with two electric and four classic bicycles will be set up, while in Sinj and Klis, one bicycle station with two electric and 4 classic bicycles will be set up.

The contract on taking over the equipment and managing the system of public bicycles with the representatives of the cities and municipalities covered by the project was signed by the representatives of the Split-Dalmatia County after the public procurement and selection of the most favorable supplier - (Nextbike) ', which is compatible with existing systems in Split and Dugopolje.

Public bicycle systems are part of the development of Smart Cities that ensure the movement of thousands of people in a healthy and sustainable way without harmful emissions by offering bicycles as a form of local public transport and as an added value to the destination's tourist services.

The project of Sustainable Transport in the Adriatic coastal areas and hinterland - TOMORROW is implemented within the EU program INTERREG V-A Italy - Croatia in partnership with several cities and municipalities in Croatia and Italy. The project of Sustainable Transport in the Adriatic coastal areas and hinterland - TOMORROW, with a total value of 2,897,500.00 euros, is being implemented from the beginning of 2019 to the end of June 2021 and is part of the EU program INTERREG V-A Italy - Croatia.
